WHY FRENCH LANGAGE IS A LITTLE BIT WEIRD

ENJOYED IT? LIKE IT AND ROCK THE CLASS! YEAH !

You want more?

  • France is striking against homework because they consider it as a 'waste of time'. One article over here
  • 'I would like to buy a hamburger'. A classic of the Pink Panther
  • REMI ! this french guy on YouTube delivers very simple but efficient french lessons. As i travel a lot, i came to know about him because many foreigners i met were watching his lesson. It's over here!
  • Practice your RrrRRR! It's hilarious because i think they are starting with very difficult sentences, i think you will probably hurt your voice ;p See how the degree of difficulty is straight away high when it comes to talk.
  • I think french have no idea that the entire world say COKE for Coca-Cola and not Coca (which sounds pretty logical to me though).
  • A caricature of the french people in 2 minutes by the flight of the concords, comics from New-Zealand, check it out ! Fou du fa fa!

Thanks for improving my general knowledge about French people :)

The numbers (60-70-80-90) is all that's left of the old vigesimal numeral system.

It kind of feels like an ancient relic left in our language, I personally find it beautiful, hehe.

If I'm correct, this system is still more extensively used in Denmark.

Danmark does use it a little more. Halv tres (50) tres (60) Halv fjes (70) fjes (80) Halv fems (90) osv.

98 in french would be quatre vingt dix huit in danish would be aatte og halv fems or other way round depending on dialect
